This post is a record for the folk who were there. The rest of you should feel free to just roll your eyes and move on. 😁
First a bunch of photos (and I do mean a bunch) followed by two video clips, the first of which is a game and the second the countdown and welcoming.
Now for the clips. First the Unwrapping Game, followed by the Countdown and Welcoming.
Cannot remember the last time I went to a New Year's Eve Party. While I do not miss them, I am glad everyone had so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos. They actually made me kind of homesick. Any family meeting is exactly like that: women on one side, men on the other. Food, drink, nibbles.
ReplyDeleteThe game was a bit of a mystery at first, but I soon realised: you get to unwrap the present for as long as the next person doesn't throw double, but if you get a present in the mean time, it's yours to keep? What a brilliant game. Might have to use that next year for Christmas with my own family...
And all this fun and jollity was going on when I was fast asleep in bed, letting the New Year come in without my help!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great time!
ReplyDeletewow, what fun you guys are - and everyone is dressed up!!! i loved the unwrapping game, i was actually laughing here at my computer. not familiar!!!!
ReplyDeletelooks like a great party group!!!
Your wife's top is amazing! I love it. If I ever had a party to go to, it's one I would wear!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos....and I notice there was no shortage of food or drink--haha!!
ReplyDeleteWe went to a house party on New Year's Eve as well---grand time!!
I haven't been to a New Year's Party in...... I forget! Our kids were here for New Years and was shocked at the amount of fireworks and aerial displays all around us. Everyone looks so elegant at your party.
