Happy New Year

I had and still have a few more posts in the queue, but I just rescheduled them because I realized that I had forgotten to include a New Years post.

My years, lately, pretty much follow the same and rather uneventful rhythm, but they are good year all the same. I began blogging a bit more again this year. Once the kids got older, and there weren't the same number of day to day developments, I lost my way just a bit, but I have done better this year.

I know that I am still photo and family oriented, especially at this time of year, but I imagine there will also be some other types of posts as we roll along.

We did go to a get-together last night with the same group that we have met with for the past few years. I wasn't too with it as I got little sleep with a sore throat on the previous night. Then, as last evening progressed a cold emerged. I hope I didn't spread too many germs. It's hard to know when to go and when to stay.

Last night saw very light and little sleep for three hours before I just had to get up and feel sorry for myself very early this morning. 😀 I was to do some photography for the town today as Canada begins to celebrate its 150th anniversary this year, but there are other photographers to take photos, so I sent my regrets early on this morning.

Well .... that's too much nonsensical palaver when all that I intended to do was to wish you a Happy New Year and to post this ↓ card, which is based on one of my star photos from October. A starry sky seemed as good a theme as any.

  4. Happy 2017 to you and your family too, and I'm really pleased to see you using the word "palaver", one of my favourites which isn't used often enough! Must remember to use it more often in 2017.

  7. I am looking forward to learning vicariously through your photography growth about what settings are working for you and which are not. I have been a bit lazy with this and want to ride on your successes! I hope you are feeling better and there is nothing wrong with leaving a New Year's Eve party early...there will be more.

  8. Hugs and Happy New year to you and yours. Yes, going anywhere with a cold offers a conundrum. I just try to get things done without breathing on people.
