Colour and Miscellany

Today, I wish to show more photos around the property before I take you to other holiday snaps.

I begin with a few close-ups.

A few more miscellaneous shots: the next two were taken from about the same spot at the edge of the homestead lawn. I just shifted the camera a bit.

Peering through the planer mill to the colour beyond. I don't often deliberately tilt my photos, but I like the result in this instance.

From the perimeter path around the more cleared section, adjacent to the actual cottage area, with the fenceline by the road to the right. You can see where Brian has mowed the pathway.

Before we leave Riverwood, I would like to share two miscellaneous photos.

The red barn has a few missing window panes, and this red squirrel obviously found it to be a suitable entrance into a sheltered habitat. We regarded each other for a few seconds. I thought s/he would skedaddle when I lifted the camera, but s/he remained just long enough. I was close, but with a wide angle lens attached, it sure didn't seem that way (left side of collage), so I extracted a closeup (right side); it's the same photo, just cropped.

Finally, one evening I took a still life of the corner of the living room with just the dim light on. I know, I know, it doesn't quite fit with the rest, but here it is because I like it.
