AC and His Unfortunate Mousecapades

I am mainly an essay-style writer, and Cuppa is the story teller. In that vein, I think you would be advised to sit back and read her anecdotes of my famous mousecapades which I mentioned in yesterday's post. Do it. Really.

From Oh No! Not again!

We were merrily driving along the highway going about 60mph when all of a sudden the car began to swerve from side to side. I turned to look at AC and was shocked to see him flapping his arms wildly and banging the steering wheel repeatedly. What the heck was going on? I soon saw that a mouse was running to and fro on his person. Read More

From Mouse in the House

We were in bed early one morning, and I was in a deep, deep sleep. All of a sudden AC sat bolt upright in bed, made an ungodly guttural sound and grabbed his chest. He thrashed about and continued to make horrible sounds. Read More

  1. Theses stories remind me of my husband and spiders. He can't deal with them. But it always makes me feel like a super hero when I rescue him!

  2. I just went back and read the stories again and can't stop laughing when I think back to that morning at Eels Creek.

  3. Dear anvilclouds

I am so glad I read these stories because I know I would have run down the hall if I had known you were going to tell them in my livingroom.

Mice are tiny and probably not vicious and I have probably only seen one twice in my lifetime, but just thinking about mice in pyjamas (no, not that kind) makes me rigid with fear, which is how I got through reading the stories.
I have to admit that I didn't laugh though I know the stories are funny---I'm just too empathetic I guess. And now I'm locked in my apartment with my feet up off the floor, just in case.

  5. Just caught up with your mousy stories. I thought you had a cat or has he departed to the great mouse shop in the sky?

  6. The cat is gone but didn't roam the garage anyway. Besides, I don't think he would have been a mouser anyway.

  8. These stories were a great way to start my day, LOL :)

A mouse in the car, I can't imagine! Spiders in the car are horror enough! Now that I'm in Florida, I wonder if geckos climb inside cars. Wouldn't it be a shock to see one of them scurrying about as I drive down the highway? LOL They are cute little critters, though.
