Deep in Conversation

One afternoon last week, I had the kids outside. After some time being pushed in the swings, they were ready to entertain themselves. For a surprisingly lengthy time, for Nikki Dee, this involved much chatting on her toy phone.

One shudders to contemplate her phone bill when she becomes a teenager. As it is, she becomes greatly distressed when she is not invited to talk to whoever calls no matter whom: the butcher, the baker the candlestick maker, any friendly 800 number, whomever.

She sure is immitating someone in the family. What a cute set of pictures. I like the ones where her brother is looking out the window.

Oh my, that phonebill will be huge by the looks of it!

On the party pictures post: I love the photo of your daughter coming out of that plastic tube-thingy! It looks like she is a tent with a head, very funny!

I agree with Ruth--Smudge modeling her behavior on ?? Hmmm--who else in your family might be so talkative?

Funny how all kids, from the time they can hold on to something, like to play with phones. I wonder on the why of this. Is is simply from watching their parents. Both of my wee grandkids almost always have a toy cellphone in their hands... either that or a toy TV remote. :-) I have wondered more than once on what this says about their world. :-)

Yes they do learn to use the phone at an early age. My gd. phoned me from North Carolina several times because she would press the redial button and we had some very interesting conversations. *s* Love the pics.

I was just watching on the CTV News last night about a girl who rang up a $10,000 cell phone bill.

Good job Nikki doesn't know anyone in Jamaica.

Great series of memories! Love it. Do you think the cellphone generation will rot their brains?
