Jolly Jumpin JJ

On a hot afternoon, JJ came over to help Grampa to clear the easement of which I have recently bemoaned. We did get the bushes cleared and grass and weeds whacked, and then we took the extracted brush to the yard waste depot.

I don't have any pictures of that, but I do have pictures of JJ jumping for joy Sue. It was to help her with her photo prompt of the day.

In addition to helping me with the easement, or rather me helping him, he helped Sue spread some mulch over the more bare spots. We should probably top up the whole yard next year,

Although this isn't on topic, I must share this photo that Sue took from the back door on the same night. Yes, we did have quite a storm later.

  4. Wow, JJ gets some AIR. I'm glad the work got done; it would bother me to let it go too long. Those are some angry looking clouds!

  7. You have an impressive grandson, both in heart and skill. Great action shots and what a dramatic looking cloud!

  8. Sue’s photo looks unreal. I don’t think I’ve seen a storm cloud that dark before. Did the camera emphasise that darkness or was it as dramatic in real life?

  10. So that's an easement? Here it's not a thing, only a legal right. My township, for instance, has an easement on parts of people's yards to enter if utility work is needed. I guess this explains the baffling comment you left on my blog, good.

    1. I didn't want to go one about it again, so I just mentioned it in passing this time around. We had a discussion about it last year, and I don't think that I ever made myself clear. Not crystal clear anyway. 😊

  13. That was some storm shot but JJ jumping for joy (all those Js) was my favorite. Sue is very creative with her assignments.

  16. I meant to exclaim about JJ's jump but I see after the previous comments mine would be redundant. I'll say only WOW.

  17. That first shot is wonderfully done as is the second...but his first jump looks almost as if he is 20 feet in the air.
My driveway is an easement to our land, but both my neighbor and I try to keep it presentable. However now he does most of the work and I appreciate it.
I could use your grandson...send him over! Kidding.

    Awesome dramatic storm shot.

  18. My grandkids are still pre-school, but I remember (fondly) doing this sort of thing with my own grandparents.
