So many powerful people are almost certainly among the perpetrators that the system is paralyzed. It's become a truism over here that "They are not going after Epstein's clients because 'they' are Epstein's clients." It's true that Maxwell is the only person currently in prison for all this, but I think the only reason she's even still alive is that if she "committed suicide" under the same weird circumstances as Epstein -- multiple cameras simultaneously "malfunctioning", guards failing to do their scheduled checks, etc -- the implausibility would become impossible to ignore.
Yes....and Epstein took his own life.
