Sunday was a lovely day, so it would be nice to be out, but with my knee acting up, it wouldn't be good to go far. We opted to drive to Riverside Park where we could take just a short walk.
<tongue in cheek> One of Sue's worst traits is that she is very friendly. She greets and talks to people when we are out walking. </tongue back in place>
On this day Sue and a stranger, Elaine, seemed to hit it off, and they had a good ole chinwag. Elaine is fairly new to our community but hails from Bancroft, which is near where we used to cottage, so the two ladies had something in common.
Sue was quite taken with Elaine‘s hair, so I imagine that she was taking a photo of it in my picture, which is another double exposure experiment on my part. (I did mostly take doubles on that day, but not of the ladies, other than this photo.)
Not wanting to be left out, I also took a hair photo of Elaine and her coif.
Now, if only I could get Sue to stop being so nice and friendly.
😊😎😉
Lovely, just lovely.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely ladies!
ReplyDeleteYOu know, that is what my father used to say about my mother and I am sure it is what my husband thinks of me. But, how, otherwise, would you have that fine photo of the hair. I cannot envision YOU walking up to her and saying, manstyle, "Hair photo please." Right? The double exposure really works, btw. Best one I have seen - and all of them have had good interest.
ReplyDeleteThey look like they've known one another for years. Elaine does have beautiful hair. In the time I have been absent, something happened to all your snow!
ReplyDeleteThis is uplifting, brings a smile to my face!
ReplyDeleteNice hair.
ReplyDeleteI bought some of those Cheesies this morning but haven't tried them yet.
It's nice to be friendly.
ReplyDeleteQuestion for you though. Do you know if there has been an increase of immigrants to Canada from US claiming asylum from conditions in US? This man we have in office really hates immigrants. I am so discouraged by his actions.
I am not hearing much, but I am hearing that Canadian visits to the USA are way down.
DeleteSadly Hawaii has not seen our lovely Canadian snowbirds who are like family coming back every year. Such a stupid shame
DeleteLooks like a wonderful encounter and now Sue has another friend. YOur photos of the two ladies showed they were very happy.
ReplyDeleteI like her hair too although I've given up ever having long hair. My hair is too thick and gets very bushy and wavy. I'm like Sue in my friendliness which used to drive my daughters crazy!
ReplyDeleteDamn Canadians, eh? Haha.
ReplyDeleteLovely hair!
ReplyDeleteMy dad never met a stranger! It's a great quality -- except when you're the one with them and they're on a roll!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteOh AC - A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet!
ReplyDeleteShe does have nice hair. BTW, I'm feeling great these days. All I needed was a nice little ambulance ride, eh?
ReplyDeleteWell. the last photo certainly says these two are chatty.
ReplyDeleteThey look so happy!
ReplyDeleteI've of two minds...sometimes I am horrified at how friends will just pick up a conversation with a stranger, and sometimes I will start with their dog and go from there myself. Seldom do I just engage with strangers, however. Nice photos, and I'm afraid I've missed a few posts in the last week with my headaches of blogger in a new format (iPad!!) which gave many many challenges. But now I'm back home again!
ReplyDeleteNo more snow for you.
DeleteYou’ll just have to deal with it, AC.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fabulous day. Lovely photos and beautiful smiles.
ReplyDeleteYou mean there are people who don't say hello (and often more) to everyone they meet? Glad to hear Sue is not one of these.
ReplyDeleteHaving a real conversation in nature is such an enjoyable experience
ReplyDeleteEngaging in strangers like this while hiking has led to a couple of incredible friendships for me.
ReplyDeleteI also love the purple in the other lady's hair.
I'm going to add some colors a bit later this spring the last time I did that it was quite fun. Why not?
