While I was out of commission, JJ's hockey team had a game at the pro arena where the NHL's Ottawa Senators play: Canadian Tire Place. The arena seats 18,694, but it wasn't quite full for this Novice game.
To be granted this honour both participating teams had a sell a certain number of tickets to a regular Senators game. Well, the teams came through, and the little guys got to play on the big ice. By the way, once they sold the tickets, their actual ice time was free. Nice.
Shauna borrowed my camera and did a great job. Maybe I should let her work the camera all of the time.
What a thrill this must have been for both the boys and their parents.

Great photos by your daughter. Great thrill to play on that ice too I bet.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting. It's one thing to play a match on your own local rink, but to play on a proper 'court' must have been fantastic. I bet most of them were dreaming that night about playing there again at some point in the future!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to JJ and his team members and the photographer did a great job subbing for you, AC.
ReplyDeleteWhat huge fun, to play at CT Place, where the big boys play!
