It Hath Begun

As Nikki Dee looks out upon the scene, I'm here to tell you that winter has arrived. I shovelled four times in the past two days. It's not like I'm tossing heaps of snow above my head yet — more like I'm pushing and scraping — but I've still had to get out there. When it came this early last year, I didn't expect it to last without a break until sometime in April, but that's what happened as the Ottawa area came within an inch or two of breaking their snowfall record. I and Nikki Dee wonder what's in store this time around.

  1. We had our first significant snow fall on Oct 29th and have had snow almost every day since Nov 16th including all day today. Last year the first snowfall was Nov 25th and that was early enough. I hope we are not in for another record breaking year. Did you get a snowblower for this season? I see Santa on the door knob. :-)

  2. Come and live in the Netherlands: last season we had a green Christmas and a white Easter. The annual snowfall is about 1 cm I think and you can't even call it winter anymore. Just more autumn!

  3. Where i live we haven't had snow for a few years now :-(
But i suppose when you get as much snow as you guys get it quickly loses it's appeal!

  5. What an adorable picture. I don't envy you with the snow but I know that the children love it.
Your new template is very festive!

  7. I couldn't be happier about this. (Remind me of this when I'm complaining in January!)
