We are in the midst of visitations, Christmas and a birthday here at Raindrops. Bug and Puff are home for a few days, so we are busy celebrating an early Christmas before they jet off to the west coast. It is also Butterfly's birthday, so that has added to the busyness as we attempt to cram as much family festivity as possible in these brief and fleeting few days that is all that we have together. We all stayed at Butterfly's for our Christmas Eve on Friday night, and being sentimental slobs we couldn't leave Tiny Rocks at home on his own. So there he is (above) hunkering down near the fireplace in the lid of the latest Trivial Pursuit game, his crutch by the side of the box. (In case you are new here or forget, he has one deformed paw, so he is our Tiny Rocks at Christmas time. And in case you still don't understand the reference, let me clarify slightly by saying that we watch Scrooge, the Ghosts of Christmas, and Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol every Christmas.)
Below, in a delightful picture, Mother Cuppa and Daughter Butterfly share a hug over a birthday present. Don't you agree that it is a wonderful moment to capture? Unseen in the depths of the womb is my little grandchild, Smudge, whom I am sure is also smiling ... as am I. And may God bless us everyone!
Awwww, those are great pictures!
ReplyDeleteThey are great pictures, and congratulations are in order. When is Smudge due?

ReplyDeleteGreat photos - hope you guys have a wonderful and blessed Christmas - and smudge too! ec
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of Cuppa and Butterfly. Are all the names nicknames or for real (Bug, Puff, Butterfly, Smudge, etc.)? I'm having a hard time keeping up with everyone but love the pictures and you seem like such a happy and loving family. I, too, want to know when Smudge is expected to make an appearance?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family you have. I love that Tiny Rocks has such a special place in it.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays to all,
Laurie
