I took Jonathan to and from work yesterday. After I dropped him at home in the evening, I went by Riverside Park and stopped for a photo that shows a bit of autumn colour as the sun sets behind the far bank. Some photos push the capability of the phone, but I figured it was worth a shot.
Earlier in the day, I took another photo of the stairs leading to the doors of the Grand Hotel. It was the leaves on the steps that drew me. It was hard to get low and resulted in a crooked photo that I was able to straighten somewhat in post.
This morning, I shall be making the short drive to the Ashton church to pick up apple pies for TG dinner on Monday.
Meanwhile, it is 7am, and I have dog. It seems to be that this is how my days begins and ends for now.

'Dog' seems quite charismatic. I don't think it will be long before you and Sue are completely under his spell and helpless to resist his charms. You will be talking baby talk in high squeaky voices, feeding him the choicest nibbles from your plate, and doing Walkie on demand.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to miss Jake when he goes home. He seems very happy with you and sue, and we need plenty of pictures.
ReplyDeleteI suspect that after seven weeks of practice with Jake……you and Sue may be contemplating a potential adoption from the pound…… dogs can be so engaging! PERHAPS….. you may even contemplate a dual adoption….. an abandoned cat and an abandoned dog so you get the best of both worlds!!! 🙂

Jake seems really happy.
ReplyDeleteOh somebody else in the household took that last shot! Good one Sue! It is a great one to connect with the real blogging AC!
ReplyDeleteI think that dog likes more than just your chair! He's pretty darned cute. Don't you love photo straightening!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteDogs have a way of worming their way into a human's life.
ReplyDeleteAwww, the puppy loves you. He has settled quite well.
ReplyDeleteVery cozy!
ReplyDeleteThat dog has made himself at home! Love the photo of the both of you relaxing. After saying that we're in second summer here, we're expecting a frost warning. Did I jinx things?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a perfectly fine way to start and end your day to me.
ReplyDeleteThose last two photos are darling! What a sweet pup you have. Enjoyed your photos very much. Pushing the iPhone’s capability can be a challenge at times but yours worked beautifully. The one of the church door with all the leaves, the composition, tells me you have a great eye for taking photos.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, dear friend. Jake is adorable!
ReplyDeletePooches are usually mooches.
ReplyDeleteI think you'll get hooked to this little pooch.
ReplyDeleteBeing a retired Vet Tech I'm happy to see Jake cozy up to you. He feels quite safe with you. This is truly a good way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteAwww! I love seeing Jake working his way into your life.
ReplyDeleteLovely sunset shot and the old stone steps are beautiful and would be even without the leaves. Jake is a nice looking dog and he clearly trusts both of you.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of the hotel steps! Very atmospheric. Spooky, actually. Bet it might look good in b&w too.
ReplyDeleteYep, you and Jake look like good buddies.
That photo with the leaves on the steps! Wow! Great composition and POV.
ReplyDeleteAs for Jake? Just like cats, dogs like nice warm safe places. He obviously thinks that of you and your lap.
What a nice snuggle bunny!
ReplyDeleteI so miss dogs. The photo of the steps is very good, imo.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a happy Thanksgiving dinner, complete with those apple pies!
