Weekend Walkies

On Saturday we walked a little walk on our nearby trail. This part of the trail is never the best for photography, and there wasn't a lot of colour either, but we found a few spots.

Sunday took us downtown where I tried some different photographic things. As Sue took her upriver photos for her photo group. I leaned over the edge of the bridge, noticed the interesting light pattern, and pressed the shutter.

As she continued to take her photos, I noticed my shadow falling on her.

Later, I saw her reflection as she was taking another photos. Her refection was only a small part of the photo, but I still liked the setting. I did try some closer photos, but I liked this one better.

I liked it even better converted to b&w.

Who knows what walks or photo ops this new week will bring our way.

  2. Oh the light hitting the bottom of the river is so interesting! And the sunny flare on the doorway with Sue is a nice touch...making it look like an ancient photo to go with the age of the tavern.

  3. I like the water patterns, and your shadow on Sue. It's serendipity when such opportunities present themselves.

  5. You do so well with your walk photos. I think of lots of blog posts I could write but am stymied by the time it will take vs. other things that need doing. Blog posting doesn't take precedence.

  9. You have such a creative eye. I often miss the subtleties, things like angles and reflections. Once in a while I take an accidental good picture! The water is amazing!

  10. Great pictures. I need to find some kind of trail like that. I would be out there all the time but I think I would have to travel up in the mountains to find a place as nice as this.
