It is a good thing that different trees turn at different times and that at least some colour exists for much of October. I took photos from the main bridge, this time looking downstream. The first two of of the former Boulton Brown and the third of St James Anglican church. I posted another of the church not long ago, but this is from a somewhat different angle to get more of the orange leaves in the photo.
I trust that will not be the end of colour photos because once November comes, it will start looking pretty doggone bleak around here. It's getting iffy though. A certain rural road that I chanced along yesterday was pretty well done with colour. Sigh.

Beautiful photos. In your third photo, you have red, orange, yellow and green. Excellent capture.
ReplyDeleteThe colour is disappearing here too. Slowly in some areas though.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is fun sharing the pretty views of the changing seasons, and especially when we consider what is right around the corner. Your autumn colors have lasted quite a while. Or putting together blogs makes it seem that way.
ReplyDeleteI always feel sad when the color goes. November always does seem bleak -- a perfect word for it. Here in Lansing we're not close to peak Lots of green. But we had a lot of rain this weekend and temps dropping. I suspect this week or next will color up. I love that church photo.
ReplyDeleteThe early changing trees have started turning here finally and I have noticed a few more leaves on the lawn. But by large, it is still quite green everywhere I look.
ReplyDeleteIt’s always green in Hawaii, as we are in the tropics. I like the first photo the most because of the river. It’s begging for an artist with a brush and a canvas.
ReplyDeleteWe hate to see the last of the colors and leaves disappear.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos. Of course!
ReplyDeleteI think I like the second one best but all beautiful colours.
ReplyDeleteWe have stands of trees with full color then others with not a leaf. Rain today! Yippie!!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry. You will still have blue sky, and those blue shadows thrown onto the snow, and those sparkles in the snow (not really a colour, but so beautiful). And some consider white a colour ... and then grey (slush) ... I mean, you'll have to "work for it" but it'll be there.
ReplyDeleteIt's that period between autumn and snow that tries me. It can be two months long.
DeleteBeautiful, we don't get nearly as much fall color. I'm drawn to the red/pink-ish leaves on top of the big boulder!
ReplyDeleteWe still have a ways to go on the fall color although the wind and rain we had yesterday brought down quite a few leaves. We always have color here, although that color is green. :)
ReplyDeleteSome trees seem to have dropped all their leaves while others are still green. It is a strange autumn after a strange summer.
ReplyDeleteI had a friend suggest that I look for things in November as I always thought Nov. was so bleak. However she was right, I did find worthy colors, just not in the expected places.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I know you will find beauty no matter what!
Very little color here in Columbus, Ohio--too dry.
ReplyDeleteThe photo with the steeple is iconic!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh these photos could be published. Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteA friend sent pics from northern Nova Scotia today and she said the same thing, "there's still colour" although its disappearing fast. In northwestern Alberta, there's not much colour left.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! One day it is amazing, the next, all the leaves are gone...
ReplyDeleteI went with a friend to tour Lanark Lifestyles. What a place!
