As you can see, the leaf fall has been early and prodigious. But at Riverside Park, there were still a few trees looking pretty darn good in the afternoon light. I took these two photos from the same spot, or close enough, but the second one uses the wide angle function for a different view. I never know what will work best, and, although I like them both, thee first normal photo is the winner in my opinion. That being said, I do like the second one too.

Our town just had a parade where people were sweating in shorts and tee shirts, the same parade that last year I thought I might succumb to hypothermia before it finished. Fall is coming but it hasn't shown it here.
ReplyDeleteI'll vote for your second photo. I love the blue sky contrast.
Our colour is well past prime, but there are spots here and there.
DeleteI vote for number one. I am led into the depths somehow, finding the river, and other green trees.
ReplyDeleteI like the light shining through in both of them. There's a carpet of leaves here waiting for Kevin who we contracted with to rake them, bag them and dispose of them. Hoping he shows up on Tuesday after canceling last Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteI like the balance of the blue sky and the river in the first one. In the second picture, your eye is drawn to the sky. (Not a bad thing) in the first picture my eye went immediately to the light.
ReplyDeleteI think you have explained it well. I have trouble figuring out why I like what I like.
DeleteBoth are beautiful, number 1 is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThis is the part of fall I love most. It's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt has been early and quick here this year.
DeleteBoth are beautiful. Nature at her best.
ReplyDeleteI like the 1st one best. No changes here yet.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is my favorite by a long shot.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you’re enjoying the fall weather as much as I am I thought I would swing by and visit your blog for the first time at theglobal dig.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the first one best. It seems t be brighter with more contrast.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is my favorite because of the light. It seems more diffused. But both are lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe first one really shows the colors!
ReplyDeleteI rather like the 2nd one because of the more dramatic contrast. But yes, that first one is totally gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteThank you for these exotic and lovely fall photos!!! Aloha from the sub-tropics
ReplyDeleteThe first one is the classic measurements, but I like the stretch in the composition in the second one.
ReplyDeletePretty as a picture, as the old saying goes. Gorgeous colors up your way. Not quite there down here.
