Monirng, Strawberries and Tennis

I am going to be very brief this morning, and it is about spelling or actually typing the word, morning. I just typed it as monirng in a comment and was reminded that I once wrote about my difficulties in keyboarding said word. I wrote that post more then two years agp; this is whatI wrote: among other things, of course.

I am a terrible typist (keyboardist?). While I don’t exactly keep track of my mistakes, one recurring one that I have noticed recently is monirng when I mean monring oops, I mean morning. (I couldn’t type morning correctly even when I was paying attention. I assure you that it was unintentional.)

The more things change, the more they stay the same, eh?

Since I am here writing and posting when I didn’t intend to be, I will also mention that I have read two posts that mention strawberries. They have come in season here, and the stand around the corner is up, so I should definitely do something about that.

Strawberry season also reminds me that it is Wimbledon tennis time. I have signed up for the Canadian sports channel that carries the event. Every year, I subscribed for just the month, but I will have to remember to cancel once the event is over, so I’ve put a reminder on both Alexa and Google Calendar. I will have to renew it for the US Open in September.

  1. I have those recurring typos. Tge, tgey, etc. Do tired of correcting them. I notice the corrective text doesn't fix tgem. Go for the strawberries. The tennis, I dunno, but the strawberries yes.

  2. Enjoying strawberries here in Quebec. As to your question about speaking or not speaking French: Quebecoise are very kind about our lack of French. Dan does his best to try and they encourage and correct him kindly. I stick to English.

  3. I have trouble between the two hands, typing early usually, and I almost never use the word completion, because I get the first two letters off anyway. I think it’s a brain thing. At least some days I don’t even type with the correct fingers, but do a hunt and peck kind of thing…that’s when the arthritis is obvious. Enjoy your berries folks.

  4. I didn't learn to type so my typing is slow and I look at the keyboard. Which means I make mistakes and don't catch them. The one thing I miss that I used to grow is strawberries.

  5. My recurring typo - vaccum instead of vacuum. Hmph. Strawberries should be enjoyed every day while they can!

  6. I have words that I commonly misspell too. For many years there were a couple of them that I was spelling in French instead of English.

  7. Even though I did very well in spelling at school, there are times where I do misspell a word or two now and then (perhaps even more) :)

  8. You'll probably read a third in another day or two -- once I get mine up! I have a sticky key that seems to often times omit an "i". You cope!

  9. I'm a good speller but I always need to look up how to spell souvenir. Other words are just typos. I know how to spell them but once my fingers are flying, I sometimes reverse letters. My problem is that I don't always proof read.

  10. "Hacking" streaming services is a Canadian hobby, I'd say. We're eating our strawberries too.
