A Brief Foggy Walk in the Park

Fog is an opportunity to capture different photos of the same places. Although it was starting to lift when I got to the park and was almost gone less than a half hour later, I was able to click the shutter a few times.

I have two views of the river. This first photo is has the same dock which you have seen here recently.

While the next one was taken from the on dock looking upriver.

Walking along the path, I looked away from the river and glimpsed light beyond a tree and toward a lamp and fence. There is some fog in the distance.

Near the river again, by the boat launch, I was attracted to the vivid reflections of this fisher's boat.

Then I came to the gate of an adjacent park. I was running out of both fog and time, but I managed to frame a shot through the gate a shot of a lady walking her dog. There's just a touch a fogginess helping to soften the photo.

The boat looks like a giant orange stripey fish with it's mouth open.

I'm always interested to see things through your eyes. I particularly like Photo NO. 3 -the feeling that the sun is trying to break through the fog and not succeeding.

We have had several days of really thick fog, but did i get out of bed to capture some photos, no I did not. But, just maybe I will do that the next time after enjoying your shots. On second thought, the bed was very comfortable on those mornings :-)

Gorgeous photos! I loved seeing fog in Illinois. I don't see it in Hawaii.

i am enjoying your increased photography. I have been focused for years, but I ignore the math, use presets and then photoshop some of it. You are a real photographer while I am more of an artist/photographer. Both are good, it just that the tweaking appeals to me.

Foggy mornings, hints of the Maple trees beginning to turn, cooler AM temperatures...Fall is on its way to Indiana. Lovely pics, John.

I have no inclination to go out into the fog. I'm perfectly happy that you did. You take wonderful photos.
