Sunset Photos

It's not all that easy to find a good spot for taking sunset photos around here. For one, thing, the roads aren't oriented quite right, and for another thing, most views are either blocked by trees or inaccessible due to the paucity of pull-off spots. However, I did notice that I could pull off the highway onto the railway bed where the tracks had been removed. After wading through very tall grass whilst being attacked by mosquitoes, I was able to take a few photos that I like.

Meanwhile, we continue to be kid-less for another week. So far, we have barely moved from our domicile due to a very significant heat wave. When I had to do a bit of yardwork, I tried to get it done early -- before 9 -- but still came in a sweaty mess. Perhaps, we'll be able to get out more next week.

As ever, the photos are stunningly lovely.
We have the same "problem"--not enough places to get an unobstructed view of the setting sun. Two Saturdays ago, I happened to glance out the window and saw the sky was salmon colored. I alerted my husband, grabbed the dog, and ran outside. Sure enough, a stunning sunset. But no place to get a good photo. Thankfully a friend of ours got one--he was traveling across the Susquehanna River, and stopped on the bridge to catch the shot.

Beautiful shots Ac!
For a change, it's been nice and rainy here. But, the heat is starting to crank up...

Gorgeous, John! That's what I miss here in the city. There's very little sky visible anymore.

We do have quite a few areas nearby to capture beautiful sunsets, but would be suffering through lots of mosquitoes as many as in marsh areas. Thanks, John, for braving the elements and sharing these beauties.

Pretty!

I'm right on the Gulf of Mexico, and love watching the sunsets over the Gulf every evening!

As the widow of a commercial photographer I can say that you truly have the eye of an artist, John. Those shots are magnificent.

Lovely!

We are having a very large wildfire not too far from us, which is creating these spectacular, eerie sunrises and sunsets due to the particulate matter in the air!

However, I am no good at photography so you will just have to take my word for it.

These are all wonderful pics. How beautiful! Love sunsets, but sunrises...now there's real beauty and foretelling of something coming that might be worth rising for!
