A Week in Spring

Spring is about changing weather: nice days, rainy days, warm days, cold days. These two photos were taken close to the same spot about a week apart. That's yours truly one week ago in his bicycle jacket above, and that's what it looked like yesterday, below. Yesterday's photo, taken through the car window in the rain shows a tree whose base is totally flooded. They must have let a little extra water over some dam somewhere. Both were take with Cuppa's Elph although, yes, I did have Mistress Rebel with me, and I did take some of my own pics.

Spring is such a relief...

Rained all day here too. Not promising for the weekend...but, one can always get out the umbrella.

Oh, thank you for this post! It gives me an excuse to share one of my favorite poetry excerpts:

The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
A cloud comes over the sunlit arch,
A wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March.

What a difference a week makes in spring - sometimes even a day. Our local golf tournament was proceeding very well - until today. Rained off and on most of the day, play was interupted for a while and then re-commenced. Play was cut short by darkness, will be finished up tomorrow and then the last round starts. It is often said around here in spring - if you don't like the weather just wait a minute. ec

We seem to be stuck on one season - rainy - although yesterday and today were dry. I can hear thunder in the distance though.

Environment Canada promises milder temperatures this week, AC. Mr. Eddie's right. Just wait a minute.

You look like you've lost a bit of weight over the winter months. Back all healed and ready for more biking?
