Tightly Furled

While the weather permits, we will continue to check in on the crocuses. I know it is repetitive, but the season is so very brief and so very desired.

Yesterday was not acceptable to the poor things, so the little clump that I showed recently was tightly furled.

However, I did discover one yellow crocus, and it was open.

On that outing we took our little phone stands to try to stabilize our attempts, but it was still difficult to get old bodies down there, and I couldn't get a clear view of the screen. I pointed, hoped for the best, and relied on cropping in post to get a somewhat decent composition.

  1. Lovely to see those bits of colour! No-shows up here....yet. Still a lot of white on our landscape.

  4. You're making the most of a short season. Crocuses must be pretty hardy to withstand temperatures that fluctuate so wildly.

  8. They would have been open this morning here but the clouds have moved in now. They look lovely anyway.

  9. Getting down isn't so hard. It is getting back up that is the difficult thing.

You need one of those selfie sticks with a button on the handle that allows you to shutter your phone camera.

  10. Oh wow, that first photo is lovely. They look so delicate, almost unreal. Even tho they are tough little cookies.

  11. A sight for sore eyes to see these lovely spring flowers. I need to look into your stand for the phone. My body can hardly stand up let along bend down as well as you did, smiling here.

  12. I've never had a yellow one, only white with purple and purple. Mine are already gone so now it's tulip time. They are several weeks late and I'm starting to worry a little.

    1. The yellows don't seem to be as numerous or come in such big clumps. Not really 'big clumps' but you know.

  15. You just take as many flower pictures as your heart desires. No complaints here.
