There is quite a mound of snow on the front lawn.
But it's not like last year, which was taken a few days earlier in February than this year's photos.
We had a good walk yesterday. The weather was rather nice, so we walked a little farther than we have been lately. We walked the bridge trail although this photo is from a little beyond the bridge. This is a shared-access trail. The pedestrian part is plowed, but the snow is fairly thick on the snowmobile side.
Then, we did our coffee routine, but we did the selfie differently. I got out of the car, went around to Sue's side, and stuck my head through the window. By the way, it's Roll up the Rim time at Tims. No, we didn't win anything on our first try and likely never will.

It is bright here at 6 pm now. Yay for the return of the sun!
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine having that much snow! Sue always looks so glamorous.
ReplyDeleteWow that’s sure a lot of white stuff. Like the newer selfie! Clever. You can work on a series of different windows of the car now!
ReplyDeleteWe are having an epic snowless winter this year. Since most of our snow storms come from the west and they too are not getting any snow, it shouldn't be a surprise. You Canadians are hogging it all and that is just fine by me. Though I admit I'll be singing a different tune come spring and it is dry right out of the gate.
ReplyDeleteThat sunlit room looks so cozy and inviting. As for the snow pile...yikes, if you get any more, where will it go?
ReplyDeleteYou had that much light at 5:17? Wow -- you are definitely far enough east of us (we're the end of the time zone) that it provides hope that the light really is coming. (We are seeing longer evenings before the sun is down and that works for me too. I can't way for the time change! Your living room is just lovely. Most of the time I wish I lived in Canada but when I see THAT much snow, I think, "well, maybe just sometimes!"
ReplyDeleteThis qualifies as a lot of snow! We haven't got to that much light yet but it's getting there.
ReplyDeleteThat is a shocking amount of snow. How nice the pathway is cleared away, and stopping for coffee after your walk sounds excellent. I love the warm glow!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of snow! I'm seeing many photos of the East Coast storm and am amazed/appalled. I hope people keep their power! Now I'll need to pay more attention to the light; I know we're getting more back but haven't noticed the time. I'm farther north than you so it might not be quite as much.
ReplyDeleteWhat joy to see the early light returning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow ❄️ photos. You both look great.
ReplyDeleteI got a doughnut once. In my travelling days. Now I take my mug in to the local spot and get it filled.
ReplyDeleteNice snow pile. Ours is mammoth, since the lads finished shovelling the snow off the roof onto it. That is a cheerful red jacket; a happy note.
Well thank you for creating a different pose. You're lucky to have a nearby walking trail like that. Light's been carrying on later here too. It's really noticeable.
ReplyDeleteYou are motivating me to get out more despite a knee injury.
ReplyDeleteWe always delight at changing seasons. Always enjoy your selfies and the different pose. You remind me of our cardinal with its red feathers against the snowy backdrop. Your red coat makes a lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteWe're enjoying the extra light too!
ReplyDeleteThe longer days are so welcome! That snowpile would not be so welcome. Roll on spring.
ReplyDeleteThat coffee stop selfie was a nice change from the usual ones showing you both seated inside the car. yes, to the longer daylight here as well.
ReplyDeleteThe last photo looks so warm and inviting! That snow pile though, yikes. I wonder how long it will take to melt?
ReplyDeleteThat snowmachine trail would drive me batty. Noises just set me off!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great comparison of snow levels!
