Delightful Dawn

When I gazed out my den window at 6:30 yesterday morning, I spied a lovely sky. This is of note since they are rather scarce at this time of year, by which I mean all winter. At first, I thought, that's nice, and then I thought that the moment required a photo. I grabbed my phone, put in 8x zoom to miss as much of the roofs (why not rooves?) as possible, but I still had to crop a little afterward.

I guess that is nice enough, but editing is like kissing someone. Occasionally, things just take off, and you never know where you will end up. In this case, I just made this touch and that touch and ended up with something that I never envisioned.

Metaphorically speaking, kissing can take you to pretty exciting places.

  1. Nice! I agree about editing.
We watch Portrait Artist of the Year, and they often speak about stepping back before you over work it. I enjoy the 'undo' feature of photos!

  4. Glorious sky. I often wonder why we don't say 'rooves,' too.

  6. Brilliant. From first crop to edit shows the AC skill at top form. I note that you removed, I think, a squirrel's nest?

  8. I'm not great at editing, but I do push the enhance button on my phone and sometimes adjust the light or shadows. They're both beautiful photos!

  15. How beautiful!

PS, I commented on the 'chip' post. Do they have dill pickle flavored chips there? I haven't tried them myself. I do not need to discover another junk food that i like! In this house we eat pizza with a thick crust.

  16. That is spectacular dawn lighting which reminded me that I should have taken a photo of yesterday's skies in nashua, NH, which were a brilliant blue. They belied the snow that will be comingon Friday afternoon.
