As you are about to witness, there were a ton of leaves on the ground in the woods yesterday, but there was still some colour up high too although usually in the distance.
Full disclaimer: I played around with texture overlays with this lot. Although I don't think you can actually see the textures, they have, nevertheless, affected the images.
My friend, Nick, talks about looking down on the ground for photo ops, so I tried to do this a little bit. While I don't put in the time and care that he does, I do think he is onto something.

True autumn beauty there
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. I like the first one very much.
ReplyDeleteYour friend, Nick, had a very good suggestion, but be careful while looking down😏. Your area is having some great color🍁
ReplyDeleteLovely colours. Such a great time of year.
ReplyDeleteNick's right. I especially love your pinecone pic. I always look down, especially when the walk is somewhat covered because of tree roots and such. It's still lovely in your world.
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking down to make sure where I'm walking, and you see a lot that way.
ReplyDeleteNice images! We are having big rain today so it is very soggy. I presume you will get the sogginess soon too.

It's happening right now -- 9:45.
DeleteYou take much better photos than I do.
ReplyDeleteLoved these, especially number 2!
ReplyDeleteI'm always drawn to "pathway" photos, and these are enticing. But I'll admit the looking down photos have great texture!
ReplyDeleteJohn also takes ground photos which I never think to do. He's much more observant than I am.
ReplyDeleteI catch myself looking down at the road while walking, and have to remind myself to look up and around me. There is nothing to see on the road besides caterpillars and the odd dead snake. And animal tracks.
ReplyDeleteI love those shots from the woods.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Autumn photos!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOne can feel the pleasing warmth in these photos. Also, pinecones are one of my favourite things.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely leafy post! I can't think of any puns, as you do.
ReplyDeleteYou have some great photos of looking on the ground.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Looking down is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteSince I live in a heavily wooded area, most of the cool views are down low on the ground so I enjoy looking down.
ReplyDeleteHowever, your fall photos are beautiful compared to what I am seeing where I live right now. The harsh winds this weekend blew most of the leaves off the trees!
Beautiful photos.
