Here are a few pictures from our snowshoe tromps through the woods. I expect I will be posting more in the next few days.
I see faces in a lot of places. Sometimes others see them just as easily as is probably true for the photo above as well as the one directly below. In both cases snow has accumulated on stumps, and the face is in the snow itself.
But I'm not sure if this next one would be as apparent to some as it is to me. I've outlined a sort of gnomish face in red. The snow is the hat and the lower part the beard. I think you can work it out from there. Would you have seen it if I hadn't pointed it out, or are you more blessedly normal?
I see faces everywhere also. Not sure if I would have seen the gnome on my own though.
ReplyDeleteI remember having a difficult time as a little girl when my parents tiled over the old linoleum in our bathroom. They covered up my friends! My mom insisted that she couldn't see any of what I was talking about, except for maybe the Frankenstein one.
I see them! And I am so glad to have a fellow face-nut. I see faces everywhere. Knotty pine boards are particularyly rewarding.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the neat photos!
What Neat photos!! I don't think I would have seen the gnome had you not circled it...
ReplyDeleteThe black background problen on my blog that you encountered...hummmm...NO clue Why the background (valentine one) didn't load...It loads correctly here...Tried it again??

Did not recognize the gnome either. But I don't see obvious things very good either, anytime. Keep looking.

What a fun post, AC! I love your approach. :)
ReplyDeleteI must be 2/3rd's NORMAL (??). I can see the first one perfectly but the next two were definitely in the abnormal phase...fits you to a T, AC (Ha,ha)
ReplyDeleteVery creative observations. You sure have far more snow than we do in the SW.
ReplyDeleteI am blessedly and uninterestingly normal. I couldn't see ANY faces, but I did see a unicorn.
ReplyDeleteI could definitely see the gnome face, except that it seemed more like an elf face to me - far too friendly for a gnome. I have to admit, though, that I probably wouldn't have been able to see it if you hadn't pointed it out. I do see faces in the stranges places though, like in the folds of a fabric or the pattern of a carpet, and as for clouds, they can really conjure up some amazing shapes.
ReplyDeleteI also see faces in many places. I could definitely relate to what Judy wrote about the bathroom floor. I see both human and animal faces. Most are friendly but some look menacing (only among the human ones). I think a therapist may be in order - ha!
ReplyDeleteGreat eye for imagination and creativity. You're the man! :)

Oh it looked so cold when you first arrived at the cabin with the girls huddled around the stove,
ReplyDeletebut it sounds like you both enjoyed yourself. Oh I did manage to see the faces in the trees, I am one of those weird people who always looks for faces in everything including patterns on a ceiling.......:-) Hugs
