Just after my birthday two years ago, September 2024, I purchased a few items for myself, especially including these shoes.
I've got into the habit of wearing bold, colourful shoes, and people remark on them. I think most of those commenters think I am a silly old fool, but if the shoe fits who am I to argue?
So, what to do since the company doesn't seem to produce this design any longer?
I have kept my eyes out and finally found a pair that would do. I ordered them. After that, I saw another pair, the red ones. Like the first white pair, the red ones were on sale and not very expensive, so I indulged myself. I imagine that the low price on the reds means that they aren’t exactly robust footwear, but I should be able to wear them just to go out for coffee if I want to dazzle. lol

| Both pair were on a good sale, otherwise I would probably have not purchased any shoes. |
While I think I will always prefer the original, patchwork shoes, I will be able to continue wearing footwear that has become a bit of a trademark. I like feeling good about something that has to do with my otherwise decrepit and sorry anatomy.

Good looking footwear! Express your self!
ReplyDeleteWell, I never really thought about the color of shoes and making a statement. I just look for a pair of shoes that fit.
ReplyDeleteNice looking shoes! The floating lemon ones won't permit you to get lost. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteGreat looking shoes.
ReplyDeleteSuper looking for dancing happy feet!
ReplyDeleteI have 5 pair of ridiculously colored striped socks. Totally get it.
ReplyDeleteWait a sec! Are you calling my shoes ridiculous?
DeleteWell that they probably are.. 🤪
Oh dear...one colorfully socked foot in mouth...
DeleteSo many shoes come in really bright colors these days, those are all great.
ReplyDeleteThey are certainly cute and colourful shoes
ReplyDeleteI like colourful shoes. At least you won't be invisible . . .
ReplyDeleteWell they’ll certainly see you coming!
ReplyDeleteThey are most fun. I appreciate how you do you!
ReplyDeleteAll of these shoes are FANTASTIC!!!!! They are you for sure.
ReplyDeleteI agree, that patchwork pattern is fantastic! The new kicks are just as nice and bold - I'm sure you'll still get noticed in them.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I've ever had someone say anything about my shoes except for my mother when I was younger and she never said anything about how they looked, only yelling at me to take them off before I came inside.
ReplyDeleteI love the patchwork ones. Too bad when things you like disappear.
ReplyDeleteI like the shoes you picked out. Very fun.
ReplyDeleteNice shoes. Did you know that you can buy replicas of Terry Fox's shoes? Currently sold out. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes! Like Debby, I have some orange and red socks and wear them with whatever clothes I put on, matching or not. My footwear is much more staid than yours though, only because the shoes I wear don't come in pretty colors.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think they are wonderful!!! I also think if you ever went out in the dark, reflection of headlights would pick you up immediately and I say that with sincere honesty and no joke intended. My husband calls me the safety officer in our household.
ReplyDeleteI love these shoes -- both pair. Or is it pairs? In any event, I think wearing fun shoes is inspired!
ReplyDeleteI love my outrageous colorful hiking trail running shoes. They get grubby, but they are fun!
ReplyDeleteLove your choices!
Please yourself my friend! I am cheering you on
ReplyDeleteIf they make you feel good and still do the job, that’s really what matters in the end, especially when the old favourites are no longer around.
ReplyDeleteOur late and unlamented PM went for wild socks, but I think shoes are much more dignified. I like both pair and hope to soon see a Cuppa post of them on your feet.
ReplyDeleteA very nice habit to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteFun shoes are good for the soul. Even better if they are comfortable. I have in the past bought two pairs at once when I liked a model very much...
