I don't have much to report today, but I have decided not to let that stop me.
Danica had a wee scare driving our car home from her exam yesterday on the expressway. Some object or other knocked the car from below, causing Danica to fear a tire problem. Thankfully that wasn't the case. She will be off again to another exam this evening. We'll have the car for our use tomorrow, but she will sit one more exam: her final one for her first year of university, on Thursday night.
It was raining in the morning, so I played some more with crocus photos. The second one is a duplication plus a flip of the first with a border added. I see wolf's head just below the centre line in the flip.
We did get out for a shamble in the afternoon when it cleared up. Believe it or not, the temperature was mild (17C) so we overdressed and were too hot. Go figure. It's certainly bit awhile since we were hot on a walk.
Although we passed a few more pathetic crocuses, I didn't stop to take photos. If I see a nice cluster in the future, I might still grab another photo, but I may be done.

ReplyDeleteI heard on a podcast the other night (listening as I fell asleep)(Talk Easy, this one) the guest make a quip something like "Blogs? What are those?" and I thought okay you smartass, blogs may no longer the big to-do they once were, and this isn't the first time I've heard this; but a lot of people still like to read them, and thank goodness a lot of people still like to write them. -Kate
I wish crocuses lasted longer and were bigger. I love those striped ones! Driving is scary and I've always been worried about getting a flat tire. (which I have several times in the past)

ReplyDeleteGreat crocus! I once pulled over on the expressway to check the tires because I thought I had a flat. It was just the really lousy, awful, Michigan roads. And that was before they got really bad.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your title, I thought you may have written about yesterday's byelections. Such good news we have flipped to an even more stable and secure government.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Cars! Tim and I have been talking about getting another car. Our 'good' car seems to be plagued with one fix after another. We would never buy a new car, but he was looking at used cars at the lower end of the price spectrum. I was lobbying for a later model one, banking on fewer issues, more reliable, etc. He bought one while I was away. He forgot to tell me.

ReplyDeleteThat would have been a bit of a scare for Danica. Glad all was okay. I wish her success on her exams. Beautiful crocus photos and a very nice effect on the second one. We overdressed yesterday, it got up to 33C which was a bit of a shock.

Jordan's last exam in the 21st. Then her parents drive to Kingston to move him into his rental apartment. He's hoping for a summer job. My fingers are crossed.
