Jonathan's hockey season is almost over. We almost perished in the ice-cold arena on Saturday in order to see his last playoff game. Missing some key players, it was a rout for the other team, but it was a good season for the boys. There was good spirit from the coaches, parents and players, and fun was had.
They will be travelling to an out-of-town tournament next weekend, but since we may not be there, I did want to get a photo of JJ with the A on his sweater. He was honoured with the Alternate Captain letter late in the season, and I needed a photo.
You see, I am often know as AC here and elsewhere on the internet, which has become the short form for Anvilcloud although most also call me John, at least some of the time.
Now JJ is also an AC, as in Alternate captain. For some reason this synchronicity delights me. I am easily pleased, it seems.
Nice photo . Good for him . Hope he does well at his away game . You go little AC WOOHOO !
ReplyDeleteawww how sweet to have the same nickname and what an honor for him to receive the title!!!
ReplyDeletei did not know your story - i guess i am not smart enough to figure it out so i always thought of you as the air conditioning guy. true story, don't tell anyone!!!
a rout = win?? another mystery for me!!!
Debbie: a rout is a win, but a big win, a one-sided win. It comes from the military where a rout was a big defeat with a disorganized retreat.
ReplyDeleteLots of reasons to be proud of your two grandchildren. It is so easy to identify with our progeny, eh?
ReplyDeleteYour grandchildren are such a great part of your life. I am so happy for you and AC#2
ReplyDeleteAC-Junior. How brilliant! And what a difference to his first photos of him on the ice.
ReplyDeleteI'm charmed by the AC's.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a fabulous photo! His children will one day love it too.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet..

How nice to read this. Too many parents hit the news for the wrong reasons!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd to think that I can recall the photos of when the AC#2 was just starting his venturing onto the ice thanks to AC#1.
