JJ the Goalie

JJ's team mostly practices rather than play competitive games, but they are beginning to play more against other teams. On the weekend, we travelled the half hour to Carp to watch him play goal for the first time in his life.

I was a little nervous for him because the last team they played was so superior that he would have given up goal after goal.

Fortunately, this game was more evenly matched, and, although they don't keep score, his team did seem to score more than the other team.

A bit of pre game gathering around the net.
How winter is celebrated in Canada: in a cold arena.

Sue and Sha chat about their latest knitting project while the exciting game transpires.

Oh, I'm in trouble now.

The rest are all of JJ in action.

Your grandson is going to be quite the athlete as he matures. I wish we had something like this here for my grands. Instead, they both excel in video games. Bah! We do have spring soccer leagues for them. Maybe Mom and Dad will get them involved as the weather warms. Unfortunately, all three children are such "homebodies" that it's hard to get them to join in anything.

Well, he looks to be quite comfortable in goal.

What are the projects your wife and daughter are chatting about? Scarf, socks, spider?

Photos that will be fabulous memories in a few years. I'm glad JJ's team isn't seriously competitive yet. There are plenty of years ahead for that.

Maybe you aren't in toooooo much trouble with Sue and Sha.
Great captures of JJ playing hockey.
Would you be surprised to know that I have never seen a hockey game? (...on TV nor in person.)
I'm very proud of your Grandson.

What fun! I'm impressed by anyone who can skate, much less carry on a game whilst on ice.

Delightful stuff. He's fearless. :)

Blogger will host it's own photos, but that doesn't work as I have a backup blog and it's requirements are different. And too, blogger has a limit on how many photos you can leave with them online. I ran into that limit and got upset. This way, I have much of my photo stash on my photohost, and I can access it easily then just pop it onto my precoded template. Does that answer your question?
