It's true, we are in Lilac Heaven these days. They're all over the place. While out driving yesterday, I could have stopped myriads of times to take pictures. Be thankful that I sometimes exercise some restraint. The first four photos (including the closeups) are from Thesha's yard. These plants are new and varied. The other pictures are all from our drive-about; they are very mature plants — pretty well wild by now, in fact.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a good weekend.
I love the big lilac stands that have grown wild at the side of the road. I seldom see white lilacs. Great pictures. I will have to see if you posted more on Flickr.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Ours are already done blooming.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a real lilac bush...how Beautiful!!!hughugs
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous. Can you see me turning green from there? I had a lilac bush at my old house, but we can't have one here because we don't get enough sun.
ReplyDeleteI love Lilac, those closeups show the colours beautifully.
ReplyDeleteOoooo... I love lilacs! I can almost SMELL them! Thanks for the pics - ours are just starting to bud around here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. I particularly like the one with the lilacs framing and almost making an arch in the stone gateway. Lovely....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures as always! Our lilac bush is still pretty small (just planted in 2005) but this is the first year we actually have buds on it so we're very excited that it's going to flower.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Wow - when you folks have spring, you do it up right! Beautiful! ec
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :) They are not blooms that we are likely to see in our garden!
ReplyDeleteYou must be having warmer weather than we are. I am still waiting for my lilac to fully bloom. They do smell wonderful during their short flowering display.
ReplyDeleteThe second pic should be framed and hung. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty... I love the scent of lilac bushes in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteOh, WOW...it made me feel like I was in another world. Just lovely, AC.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! We have old, old bushes out front of our 100+ year old house. We're still waiting but every year for about a week and a half (too short up here) we seize mid-step leaving our front door. The scent puts us in stasis. Lovliness!
ReplyDeleteOh my.. you are quite ahead of us in greenery and blossoms. How beautiful. I love lilacs. I love how the scent lingers in the air as you walk by a wall of iliac bushes. Just yesterday I noticed that the leaves are really starting to pop on our trees. Can blossoms be far behind?
