... Maybe This Weekend
The kid came over yesterday and had us all on the edge of our seats. You see, she came very close to rolling over. Her hips certainly came around but the shoulder resisted. It was pretty funny really — three adults all on the edge of their seats over so ordinary an event. I took some pictures like the one below and then switched to video mode along with Thesha (scroll down for clip). There we were with two cameras rolling hoping to catch that historic moment. Alas, it was not to be. Not today. I wonder if it will happen this weekend when we are away. Whatever transpires, we certainly had a grand time today — on her three month birthday.
Have a good weekend folks.
What is the origin of the name "Thesha"? I like it. :)
ReplyDeletePeace,

That's some hair! I had a curly top like that once.
ReplyDeleteI'd heard that 'rolling over' is a big deal, and we do it often in yoga class, but I have yet to notice anyone go "ooohhh, ahhhhhh!" at me! It's closer to "watch out, your head, dude, your head!"
ReplyDeleteAlmost! She'll get there.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Valerie. Me too.
ReplyDeleteThat child gets more adorable each day it seems!

Often it's these moments that mean the most. They are unforgetable. Also quite entertaining, I was holding my breath.
ReplyDeleteShe is sooooooooooo cute!
They're so much fun to watch. It won't be any time at all before she figures it out.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet she'd have made it without a bulky diaper impeding her momentum :0) What a doll!
ReplyDeleteAwww, she's so cute! I can't get over all that beautiful hair!
ReplyDeleteThat hair's incredible!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! I remember waiting and watching with similar anticipation for the same feat with my own kids. Both times the first time was missed. Both times I was startled to see the baby on his tummy after I had placed him on his back. So many changes so quickly. I think it is wonderful that now a days we can capture so much with our cameras. I wish I could so easily relive some of those days from so long ago. They grow up far too fast.. especailly the grandkids.
ReplyDeleteOnce she's rolled over there will be no stopping her!
ReplyDeleteIsn't life amazing when every moment is a potential new discovery--a milestone.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many historic moments in the life of a child and they are so enjoyed by parents - but more so by grandparents - I can relate. ec
