You may also wonder about my socks with my pants tucked in. It's an accommodation for sleeping in the chair. With blankets not properly under me, cold air can seep up from the bottom, so I tuck my pants in. Sorry to the Brits who employ the word 'pants' differently.
BTW, as seen above, the sweater is my constant companion during winter because we keep the house on the cool side in deference to my very hot wife.
As you are about to see, I do look a tad more put together once I dress for the day.

| It's the angle. I am definitely not taller than the door. Not even close. |

A man of many looks! (I do love your hoodie sweater!) rust me -- you wouldnt want to see me in the morning, either!
ReplyDeleteWhen I am home and not expecting visitors, it is all about comfort.
ReplyDeleteTA-DAH! Looking rather dapper.
ReplyDeleteSo you just look comfortable, in each outfit. The sandals might be less recommended as tripping hazards...but you probably know how they move.
ReplyDeleteComfort is the word. I always have a fleece top on through the winter.
ReplyDeleteI keep a wool cardigan sweater handy that once belonged to my mom as an extra layer now and again.
ReplyDeleteOh, you are very brave to show a morning look - I would scare people away. I like your "dapper" pants.
ReplyDeleteAny method to help one sleep better and stay safe. (I thought you tucked your sleeping pants into the socks so you didn't trip on pants that are too long.) Wish I could get taller just by getting dressed for the day. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteReally who cares what you look like when you just get up. I'm a sight and not a good one first thing. Good idea about tucking your pants into you socks. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI don't think people care as much about how we look today when we just get up. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThe trousers tucked into socks took me by surprise. My feet are always so hot I never wear socks to bed, and stick my feet out from under the covers. 🙂
ReplyDeleteDo you sleep with the hoodie over your head? I will wear a hoodie when I do not feel well and do wear the hoodie over my head on those occasions. Or do you sleep with the hoodie off? It seems like it would bunch up and be uncomfortable if off…. at least for me .
PipeTobacco
On occasion, I have worn a light hoodie in bed, and on other occasions I stick a toque on, but not often in either case.
DeleteI like your final picture, especially there. You are! Aloha friend
ReplyDeleteNone of us would look very put together in our overnight clothing. I have a wonderul fuzzy dressing gown, zippered to the ankle, that I hide in. But unless you brush fuzzy, it looks patchy. And I certainly do not look that put together when I am dressed. Large fuzzy sweater required. We are cold, mostly, but we have a daughter that runs hot and so we turn down the heat and dress for her temperature.
ReplyDeleteYes, heat down and sweaters on.
DeleteI love the plaid trousers! You look very natty.
ReplyDeleteSlovenly, lol. We ALL look a little rough trudging around our houses, especially in the mornings.
ReplyDeleteYou do you look quite spiffy in that last picture.
ReplyDeleteDapper! I love that last outfit. I am such a crappy dresser these days. I need to dress up sometimes.
ReplyDeleteOther house trousers (sweats) are not as dapper.
DeleteI envy your successful way to keep a good figure.
ReplyDeleteYou do look much better once you're dressed for the day!
ReplyDeleteIt’s a good thing you can’t see me right now. 🥴
ReplyDeleteYou look very put together for the day, John.
We all look lovely in the morning I'm sure :) Actually, you don't look so bad John, and the finished look is very nice.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong in sleeping in a long cozy shirt! You do look quite dapper (and yes, taller than the door) in the last photo.
