It's Sue's birthday month, so we try to get out a little more than usual although enjoying March isn't always easily accomplished in Eastern Ontario. I posted earlier that we did have a few decent days, but then there was ice followed by a little bit of snow which was, in turn, accompanied by miserable winds.
We had breakfast out last week, so I purposed to take her out for lunch this week, but Sue opted for our frequently enjoyed take out sandwich and coffee. In honour of the occasion, however, we added a chocolate chip cookie to our usual order.
On the way home, we found a patch of trees with still some ice on the branches. The light wasn't great, but I thought it was worth a shot regardless.

Celebrating Sue's birth anniversary can very well take a week or a month! Cookies YES!
ReplyDeleteShe can certainly celebrate for the rest of the month. Happy birthday to her!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I’m not one for birthday celebrations, a month of little things sounds kind of nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for a birthday month. I must remember this for next year. Happy birthday to your beautiful Sue.
ReplyDeleteSimple pleasures are the best!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Sue!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo and Happy Birthday Sue! We love our car lunches. Enjoyed your snowy views also. Our surprise snow has just about disappeared as fast as it arrived after our 85 degree F. day before.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a birthday month of small treats and maybe one big celebration. I'll have to remember the idea. Happy Birthday Sue!
ReplyDeleteIt's always time for cookies.
ReplyDeleteFarmbeau is usually in the field during September, with harvest on the brain. Dragging him anywhere for cake or a party is to add to his stress. So I like the idea of a birthday month and will incorporate it from now on. Then we can do something special on a rainy day or any day when he isn't consumed by swathing and combining.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Month to Ms Sue!

Happy birthday month.
ReplyDeleteBig fan of birthday month celebrations - and that looks like a good biscuit - I do hope that it hit the spot.
ReplyDeleteA birthday month is a fun idea! It would be difficult for me not to add a sweet treat to my order. I'm fond of lemon raspberry scones. You're definitely transitioning into spring although the icy tree would say otherwise.
ReplyDeleteThat is a fine looking cookie. Both the baked one and the other one. Hmm. Re snow. I have just been informed that the radar shows incoming. We still have all the snow moving equipment out and at the ready, as we have been dumped on before, over the years. As I am sure you recall.
