Alexa popped a notice onto my phone: a yellow warning for heavy fog. It was Saturday evening, and we had just watched an episode of Boyd. Well, we call it Boyd, but that is the protagonist's name, the head cop on Waking the Dead. It's a series that was shot from about 25 to 15 years ago that has stood the test of time, and there have been enough episodes to get us through February and into March.
Of course, I digress. Sorry: it's habitual.
I had been preparing to go up to my den and watch the hockey game, but the weather alert caused to peer out. I popped my head out the door. There wasn't much to shoot amidst our townhouses, but one tries.
We decided to go around to the park. It's just around the corner. We sure wouldn't have wanted to drive any farther in the pea soup.
I thought the little phone relay station, or whatever its name, looked interesting in the atmospheric conditions.
Sue was following her own muse. I liked the shadow that she cast.
In retrospect, we should have gone the other way than the park where there are more interesting lights and structures, but I glad we did what we did before I went home to catch the final period of the hockey game.

You are both fun, that you immediately went out to take photos of the fog. I like the spirit!
ReplyDeleteSpooooooooky....
ReplyDeleteWaking the Dead was a brilliant series, with an excellent cast.
ReplyDeleteWe have been having some fog - I like the effect it has on our surroundings.
I like the shot with the pine tree.
ReplyDeleteFoggy photos are very atmospheric! I don't like anything related to zombies although my late husband liked Waking the Dead in its early years. I think John watched it too.
ReplyDeleteNo, this wasn't about zombies. It was a cold case show. On Britbox.
DeleteMoody pics. We had 25 cm of snow last night, so I am jealous of your fog. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteOh no! At least we know that it will go relatively quickly now. Relatively
DeleteWell you certainly got some interesting foggy pictures!
ReplyDeleteI made the same mistake Margaret did at first and had to scroll back to see that I hadn't read Walking Dead and it was in fact Waking the Dead. I also couldn't remember the main character named Boyd but I just assumed that was faulty memory and many years having gone by.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fog photos, dear friend. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI like the grainier presentation of the headlights duo. But that small dot is weird. The fog up here was fascinating, as it moved through the woodlands around us it shredded and we got thick and thin patches and scarves and ribbons, while the light lasted. I like the Sue shadow too.
ReplyDeleteFog is rare here and I never think to take photos of it at night.
ReplyDeleteNice atmosphere shots AC
ReplyDeleteI've always liked fog, maybe because it seems so mysterious. I liked it in Illinois when we got it occasionally. You never see it here in Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteI really love these foggy and misty shots
ReplyDeleteThe first one looks like a UFO! We used to love Waking the Dead. Complicated characters.
ReplyDeleteWe reached the final episode last night. We’ve done the whole series before, but it had been long enough that it was pretty well new to us. Some scenes seemed somewhat familiar, but that was about it.
DeleteYour fog has arrived here this morning…actually before daylight. So I can see just a few feet outside. No pretty colors though.
ReplyDeleteAll spooky shots in the dark. Bring in the ghosts!
ReplyDeleteThat fog was fun! Wait'll tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteOooooo, I like all of these! Especially Sue's silhouette.
