Likes and Things

I came across this meme not too long ago and parked it for a rainy day because I had many posts in the queue at the time, but I do get to the end of my thoughts sometimes, and here we are. Feel free to use and post.

Before we get to it, however, I would like to thank you for your comments and concern yesterday after the weird episode of the previous night. Although we don't know each other in person, your comments did mean something to me. I did have a good 7-hour sleep last night after just 2 hours on the wild night

It is odd synchronicity that I have a previously scheduled appointment with my urologist today. Aside from the regular agenda, perhaps he will have something to say about my UTI and about the episode in general and whether it might be related to my difficulty in urinating. It's always an issue, but that was a more difficult occasion than usual, and perhaps it could have triggered what happened to me. I don't know the answer, but perhaps he will.

Onto the meme. Feel free to also pick it up for a post if and when you need one.
  • Steak or Seafood: Steak but we don’t indulge often. We are a lowly chicken and burger couple.

  • Favourite season: Autumn
  • Broken bones: 0
  • Beach or mountains: Mountains, but both
  • Dogs or cats: Cats but dogs are okay.

  1. Thanks for sharing this meme. It's a great way to get to know someone a little better. I appreciate you opening up about what happened and I'm really glad to hear you got a good night's sleep. It's so true that even though we don't know each other in person, the connections we make in the blogging world can feel meaningful. I hope your appointment with the urologist provides some clarity and you get the answers you need. It sounds like you're being proactive about your health, which is the most important thing.

  2. AC, your sense of humor was clearly not affected by the events of the previous night. This was a fun read and of course, always chocolate and mayo, yes to mountains and autumn and never cottage cheese, but I do prefer creamy peanut butter. And, have just returned from my first cruise and survived as well.

You are so right in staring that bloggers may never meet in person, but still we come to know and care about one another through our posts.

  3. I feel like you are a real friend, although we will probably never meet in person. I love your posts, always interesting.

  4. I once was in a group (not therapy, more of a class) and one woman introduced herself saying she "over-shared" by telling to much about herself. I'd never heard the term, but sure could identify with it. Shucks, we bloggers have that option, and thus get to know each other better! If not, we just show photos and talk about the weather a lot. Hope you get more info with your urologist today!

    1. "too much" for my grammarian friends, misspelled!

  5. I'm glad to see the word "pop" extends north beyond our borders. I can go only 60 or so miles to the east to the land of "soda". If I go far enough south, it is simply called "coke" even if you order a Pepsi.

  6. I will use it this week, AC. There is a bond that develops among bloggers. This is what I like about it over regular social media. I'm really pleased to hear you had a good night. Maybe the urologist will have some answers for you.

  7. Hope you're getting answers today at your appointment.
I agree about friendships across the web through blogging. I have had only one blogger decline to read my blog because of my politics. I imagine there are others who read and never return but that's their choice and mine too.
I appreciate your comments over the years. Take care of yourself.
