Dullsville

While it has been a mild winter around here — relatively speaking, of course — it has sure been dull most of the time. Witness this photo from the other day.

Does that turn your crank? Does it make you want to visit Ottawa in winter? No, I thought not.

Meanwhile, I have taken a few more inside shots. First, we have the lion sitting down (as opposed to the biblical lying down) with the lamb ... and a polar bear.

You may call this one T for Positive Terminal Defiance. Note: the battery brand is Defiant. I used glass underneath to get a bit of reflection.

And finally, for now, a composite. Sue has been gifted with these things in the past. First came the grandma and granddaughter figurine. This was followed with a grandson figure. At some point, the book was also presented. They sit on a shelf in the upstairs hall, but in a somewhat different configuration than what you see here.

Until next time ...

We are half way to spring today. It won't be that much longer surely. Three months? It will be that here for sure unless this El Nino really warms everything up.

The inside shots are great. Amazing what you can do with batteries other than the traditional thing.

I have the same carvings...different, but same artist I am guessing. NO I do not want to visit Canada in the winter, but you do have such lovely people and such beautiful country.

The patchy melting snow outside my window is not very inspiring. I have to look hard for inspiration. And now it's raining.

I like all of your indoor shots, especially the shot of the figurines.

Love your still life's. Still lives? Suffering from gray matter gray day melt.
The grouped figures are nicely defined. You sure do have technique. I am editing holiday photos and with great embarrassment straightening out all the horizons. Sloppy!
If you want amusement, you can come here and try your hand at drone photos. While dodging the drone. I love my girls, but .....

Interesting, the glass works well but then I enjoy using front surfaced mirrors. I must do some more with them.

I'm enjoying you still life photos. It's something I find difficult to do for some strange reason. But I'm working on it! Your grandparents and Grandchildren one is especially appealing to me.

Nice stuff. I liked the stuffed animals best. The T is inventive too.

Lovely outdoor shot....gave me a quiet feeling.

My favorite indoor shot was the grandma and two grandchildren. It's simply beautiful--would make a beautiful poster or greeting card photo. You'd sell a ton of those!!

You could take up knitting? And knit colourful strips to put on all the trees and lampposts?
