Object Lesson

This week, a noteworthy display appeared in front of the local high school. If this doesn't grab attention ...

BTW, it's not only students who need such a sobering reminder. There is a law against hands-on cellphone use in vehicles in this province, but I still see it occurring.

i do think these kinds of displays are most effective - at least i hope so...

To me this seems like the perfect way to get the message across. Hope it works! Kids need a striking visual sometimes.

We could sure use that law and some enforcement of it here. It's scary what goes on.....;(

Sadly, those most affected by displays of this tyle are those who are least at fault in my opinion.

This is a great way to get the message out. This speaks to adults as well as to kids. Yep, I still see people talking on their cell phones even though it's against the law!

The trouble is that young people think they are invincible and the bad things only happen to someone else. I hope this piece of reality will get the message across. And not only to young people, I see adults using their phones while driving every day.

Heartwrenching photographs.
And...you are correct. It is not just teenagers. As a matter of fact, I see more adults texting and driving than I do teenagers.
It saddens and ANGERS me so much. I know that they are not only putting their lives in danger, but they are putting the lives of my family members in danger. My family members are traveling these highways on which the lawbreakers are texting. To think that their selfish acts endanger those that I love so dearly, infuriates me beyond words!!
