Faces of Our Boy

I hauled my camera over to the kids' place yesterday with the specific purpose of getting some up-to-date close-ups of Zach. At his age, we have fewer photo ops with him than his sister. She comes for sleepovers and outings while he stays home. But it was time to make an effort.

So here he are the many faces of Zachary. Actually, they're all pretty well versions of the same happy face. The first two were after his nap around the lunch/computer table, and the other three were taken outdoors a little later. It was a warm day for October, but he had his little coat on anyway as Buppa wasn't quite sure how best to dress him .

By the way, had Amma been present, her likely would have had his hair and wardrobe attended to, but Buppas don't think of things like that. And even they do, they're pretty helpless to do anything about it.

  1. You, Zach and a camera go together like peaches and cream!

  2. You can definitely see that he and Nikki Dee are siblings! Except for the hair color. I understand how hard it is to get them to cooperate in a photo session AC. You did a fine job, he is beautiful! Love Di ♥

  3. I like the candid, shoot as your are photos. Yes formal maybe once every five years. When he gets in school they will be spiffying him up once a year. He is beautiful as is Nikki Dee.

  4. I think they're due for studio shots soon. I like mine better than last year's effort: not that they were bad, but I still prefer mine.

  5. Handsome fellow, he is. He must take after Cuppa.
Oops--did I say that out loud.

Anyway, is this all before first haircut? My son (many years ago) had lovely curls. The first haircut was necessary but the occasion of much weeping (that would be me!).

  8. The second and fifth are real stand-outs, as is the subject. What a gorgeous kidlet. And you really need to photograph often - they change so fast at that age.
My grandkid refused to have her hair tidied for pictures - her grandpa used to grumble. A lot.

  10. Great candid shots - the best way to capture kids and Zach is a really photogenic guy. Does he already know that?
