When I finished reading Barbara Kingsolver's,
Animal Dreams last night, I turned to Cuppa and said something like, "Wow! What an amazing book!" Of course, I have said this before about Kingsolver; she tells a great story but she also writes it well. Her novels are multi-dinmensional with many layers or themes, particularly
Animal Dreams, which includes the list below and probably others topics that I can't think of right now.
- loss of family
- teenage pregnancy
- Alzheimers
- community
- ecology
- foreign policy
- native American culture
When I read Kingsolver, I learn, and, somehow, I come away feeling like I'm a better person.
