Spring hath not Sprung


It's especially true in this vernal equinox morning.


I had been yearning for blueberry scones at the Blue Spoon Atelier downtown, but we will likely stay home where Sue is attending to her knitting. 

She was counting the stitches. She missed one of 97 in that row.

Meanwhile, the geese hunker down in the field opposite as if quietly resigned their fate.


And I also reluctantly accept my scone-less fate. Dangitall.

    Once the yearning for scones begins, it does NOT end until the need is filled! I'm serious, you better get that scone. It seems like a big fat lie that it's snowing like that, we're so hot here. I wish we could mix the two up and have something in the middle.

    Meanwhile, in S. CA, we seemed to have skipped spring and moved straight to summer, with sweltering temperatures in the 90's all week. That's a great photo of Sue. Love the lighting.

    I am honestly so sad for you because missing out on blueberry scones is a total heartbreak, especially on the vernal equinox. Those geese definitely have the right idea just hunkering down and waiting for the weather to actually make up its mind.
    It is seriously impressive that Sue is counting 97 stitches though! I would probably lose track after like ten, so missing just one is basically being a pro. I really hope the sun comes out soon so you can finally get your scone fix because you totally deserve it. Stay cozy inside while the spring weather figures itself out!

    Scone less! I had one yesterday and it disappointed, if that helps. It was a cheddar, bacon and chive one. I should have stuck to my usual sweet raspberry lemon scone--delightful! I agree with Vicki Lane. I would add psychopathic, and dangerous. Revolting also.

    Wow! Well after a blizzard on Sunday-Monday, we hit 83 degrees here and the ground is mush and mud.
