On rare 😁 occasions, I take snapshots when I am out and about. Sometimes, I don't get around to posting them because they didn't fit my musing at the time. I think these random orphans deserve their day in the sun.
This is the back of an original log house that now serves as a home for the chamber of commence. When we go downtown, we usually park behind it. Every now and then I take another photo even though I have shot the cabin many times before. I like the textures.
Abstract reflections at Riverside Park.
The sun caught a spent Queen Anne's Lace from last year. I thought it was worth a click.
Sue sitting on bench along the trial while I hunted for blossoms to photograph.
After I joined Sue on the bench, I saw that a couple was approaching with their dogs. I held the phone on my lap and waited for them to walk into the frame. I was rewarded with four smiling faces and also received some sloppy wet licks. I like this candid shot very much.
I have more orphan photos, some of which go back a little farther in time. We shall see what we shall see.
Hah!!! I was going to do the exact same thing today only mine were going to be 'orphan' shots of Lego toys.
ReplyDeleteAll of these are very worthy shots and the candid was great too.
The bench shot is wonderful too. It feels like there is a story there. If I didn't know who it was I would have made up what that person was doing on the bench.... :)
Oddly enough, we refer to it as Queen Anne's Lace down here.
ReplyDeleteOh so do we. That is another senior faux pas that I must go back and correct. In my defence, however, there is a reel called At Anne's reel. Yeah, that must be it.
DeleteRandom shots are often more rewarding than set shots, except for my random shots of table tops and parts of feet . . .
ReplyDeleteYour orphan photos are fun -- that's a great idea. We all have those and when they are nice like these are, it's good to give them their day in the sun! The dog walker shot reminds me of my blog buddy Steve's project. He buys up old slides and looks at them for their story or historic value -- interesting furniture in the house or finding out where those travel pix came from. And of course, the elusive stories behind them -- if you don't know what it is, make up your own!
ReplyDeleteAh so...my files are also full of these kinds of shots. Sometimes I throw them in with other things. My posts are usually a hodge podge compared to yours anyway. Glad to see these beauties! The Sue looking at phone on the bench shot is my fav today. But the log cabin is also great!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good term for random photos.
ReplyDeleteThey absolutely deserve their day in the sun. I had an English Bulldog back in the day. Wonderful dogs.
ReplyDeleteI like these and it is a good idea to post them.
ReplyDeleteThese are worthy of sharing, the texture of the log cabin is amazing. Those walking pot roasts are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteOh, I bet that couple would love a copy of that photo! How adorable!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you shared your randoms, they are lovely! Looking forward to more.
ReplyDeleteLovely series!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! That log cabin is very scenic.
ReplyDeleteThose abstract reflections remind me of fractals.
ReplyDeleteI really do like the log cabin. All the shots are great.
ReplyDeleteThose “random orphans” often turn out to be the most charming photographs of all
ReplyDeleteLove the Queen Anne's lace!
ReplyDeleteAC, I am laughing and loving the dog photo the most. You have the most eclectic eye of anyone I know.
ReplyDeleteI like your orphans.
ReplyDeleteI rather like that photo of Sue on the bench. It tells a story.
