In truth, we've only had poutine a couple of times and I believe it was when we we in the Niagara Falls area years ago. We did experience cheese curds for the first time when we were on our cross country trip. We liked them so much that we've thankful they are NOT on menus here. And, nothing wrong with treating yourself, John, and there will be more times as well.Beatrice P. Once he had a very difficult trail, did not make his anticipated destination, and posted a picture of backwoods poutine: fries with ketchup, somewhere in West Virginia.Joanne Noragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16601010208310707750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6998770.post-21229463122512829142018-09-13T09:50:22.089-04:002018-09-13T09:50:22.089-04:00Here in the Midwest USofA we would call that H.A.O...Here in the Midwest USofA we would call that H.A.O.A.P. (Heart attack on a plate). There is actually a local diner that serves something very similar and advertises it as such.
Looks delicious, but I haven't ever tried it. I hope you live to enjoy many more servings. One per year shouldn't do much damage, should it? Sue doesn't know what she's missing. I am glad you enjoyed yours and I am sure a leisurely walk along the beautiful water's edge you are showing us will be more than enough to counterbalance the effect of the poutine on your life expectancy.

Thankfully, there is burger place in Glasgow where poutine is on the menu. I am off to rummage in my empty cupboards for something that comes close.
Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11883091348839145603noreply@blogger.com
