I think it was Bette Davis who said, "getting old is not for sissies". How true, how true.

Love your blanket!Simply Collhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12615215353549814677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6998770.post-21648975181410848732008-02-24T08:41:00.000-05:002008-02-24T08:41:00.000-05:00The Geriatric Assessment Unit I work on specialize...The Geriatric Assessment Unit I work on specializes in cognitive testing and the changes seen with age are quite consistent. The normal range for someone who is 80 is considerably lower in things like short term memory and word finding that it is for someone who is 30. But we do have some 90+ year olds who ace the tests. Keep working on the Sudokus and keep your blood pressure in the low normal range to protect your brain.Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15892804871759397018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6998770.post-25892051181193227222008-02-23T15:07:00.000-05:002008-02-23T15:07:00.000-05:00AC I love your blanket and I think I've said befor...AC I love your blanket and I think I've said before I was hopeless on the couple of occasions I tried the 'brain age' on my daughter DS. I'm off to stay with her on March 1st for a week so I hope to get some practise in! I try and do a quick crossword everyday and I play along with quizzes on radio and TV. I just hate that I am getting so forgetful since I retired and that I have slowed down so much in the past year. It's almost like I've given my brain permission to reduce its function!ChrisBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06958330170295676200noreply@blogger.com
