We tried to sneak out for our walk before the rain hit. As we neared the trail, the sky opened, so we diverted to Tims and took our coffees to Riverside Park to consume in the car. In the event, it became a photoshoot — of course it did.
It began with selfies.
I shot through the droplets on the windshield. It was worth a try but looked better on the phone than it does here.
It turns out that just about any excursion can be turned into a photo op, particularly when you have conditions in which you wouldn't usually be out. I saw the park in somewhat unusual conditions for me at this time of year, and I liked the look.
There's always something worth photographing, but your park is lovely. Tree bark is fascinating.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, and I couldn't even tell it was raining except the two window drippy ones. The lighting was fantastically diffused without any light source creating shadows.

ReplyDeleteYou two definitely made the absolute best of a rainy situation, and turning a rained-out walk into a cozy Tim Hortons coffee date and car photoshoot is pure genius. That shot through the rolled-down window capturing the bench and the lush trees is gorgeous, but the guy walking past in that makeshift headcover is just a perfect, real-life rainy day moment. It is so true that unusual weather completely changes how a familiar park looks, and I am so glad you both got out of the car during that lull to grab those perfectly framed scenes.
