Merry Christmas

This year, you get two cards for the price of one. You've seen the photo previously. They are both from that magic sunrise at the cottage. The first was the planned card, and the second was just a last minute brain wave ... or brain cramp. Whatever.

We will cook the turkey today and so some last minute grocery shopping. Late tomorrow afternoon we'll head to the kids for Christmas Eve. We'll sleep over. Well, hopefully some sleep will be involved. We'll do presents on Christmas morning before the kids head to the other house. Then, we will have them here for Christmas dinner on Boxing Day.

I hope you have as good a time as we will.

Oh Wow! Those are such awesome photos, John. I'm still jet lagged, but I wanted to come and wish you and your beautiful family a very Merry Christmas from Hawaii.

Happy after Christmas to you, John.
Today, I've spent time (couple of hours) catching up on fellow bloggers recent posts and have enjoyed the photos in your recent ones. I've been absent from blog commenting due to recent travels, but hope to return by next week.

We were "on the road" for 3 weeks from after Thanksgiving till the week before Christmas. It wasn't exactly a vacation, but more of an extended road trip that included checking the VA house and getting some minor repairs completed, then learning the closing date would not happen as expected (explanation coming on our blog. Along the way we visited with friends in DC and all attended the USAF band holiday concert, a wonderful event. And we also went to our granddaughter's 1st birthday party in PA as shown in a recent post. Hoping to get back to some semblance of "normality" by next week as we will once again be leaving town for a few days, unfortunately to attend a service in our native NJ.

I hope that the coming new year holds wonderful things for you and yours in store (all good of course).
