My First Exhibit ... Sort Of

On Saturday, we set up my first photography show. Well, it's not exactly a show, so what is it?

A few weeks ago, Sue's hairdresser mentioned the possibility of me displaying and selling some of my photos at his establishment. Over the years, Sue had shown him a few of my pieces, and he had said he liked my work.

So, we chose a theme of local town shots for this initial showing: framed a few and also took in some unframed prints.

These are the four frames, with the last on an easel in the porch.

The unframed prints have a bristol board backing and are wrapped in plastic bags to prevent wear and tear from handling. The dog, Lulu, thinks they pass inspection.

There is one more print displayed on an easel in a corner, sans plastic covering for clearer viewing.

To repeat: they are all local shots and have probably all shown up on this blog at one time or another although some of the images are a few years old.

I think I should show the original images more clearly, but I'll put them in the next post as I don't want to load too many images at one time for people with slower connections.

Congratulations, John! I have admired all your photos. I know what you mean about too many photos slowing down websites. I've been reducing the size of my photos for my blog to 100-150 MB.

Yes bravo. Anyway you can put the info cards on the walls not the art? Just a thought because they distract. I like this stuff a lot.
