The Colour Advances

About a week later than my previous Tinged post, it seems time for an update. Autumn is certainly moving along, but generally speaking there is still more green than colour. However there are splashes and even drifts. I imagine that next week at the cottage will shot show fine colour, as it will be a week later, and they have already had some frost.

These first two are from almost the smae spot, viewing in opposite directions. There's a fair bit of yellow showing up.

And there are splashes of red or orange here and there.

I trespassed onto a corn field while I was out and about.

This grass was also in the corn field.

Finally, I had to capture this web down in the ditch, with much cropping because I wasn't that close, and I wasn't going to trust that bad foot of mine to get down into the ditch.

I love the colours and your photos. The thought of the next season does make me heart sick.

ooo I love the web. I also love that you trespassed onto the corn field. It's looking a bit more autumn here in New Jersey, although a lot of the leaves that would turn color just dried up and fell because of a lack of rain. Hopefully we will get some pretty fall colors from the rest.

Just a few red leaves in the hedges here, not many. No frost yet. I'm looking forward to seeing what colour my new tree will produce, it's an Armstrong Maple, supposed to turn bright red in the fall.... we'll see.
Nice spider web. Clever creatures aren't they?

Wonderful stuff, thank you. I like the corn and the web. Can they fix the foot?

Beautiful shots, AC. Fall is definitely on it's way. Though I am more than slightly terrified of spiders, I did enjoy your web.

That corn doesn't look quite edible anymore. And I love the spider's web.

Normally I am looking forward to autumn, but having just had a very summery holiday where I have worn proper summer clothes for three weeks in a row, it is hard to get excited about it this year.

what excellent photos! And I'm glad you didn't venture down into the ditch for the web photo. I would've hated to read you ended up IN the web. :O

Yes, nice tour of the countryside. Nice web, especially. We have one maple with a red branch, otherwise sort of green and gold around here still.
The deer are growing out their winter coats and turning dull grey in the process. Little spotted fawn is still colourful, however.
The one thing that I don;t like is the lack of focus on the boathouse behind that gorgeous branch. I found it distracting.
But I should not be picking at someone with your skills and eye.

Cool web shot. Loved the pretty trees in the lake shot.

That fourth one, with the light and the red leaves dancing in the yellow green trees, is beautiful! And I love the cornfield closeups!

I really miss seeing the change of seasons in Hawaii. We used to go to the mainland in the fall, but we missed it this year since we went in summer.
