Sleepover Fun with Danica

It had been quite awhile since her last sleepover, so we were all pretty ready for it on the weekend.

Shortly after her arrival on Saturday afternoon, we headed to the chip truck for supper. This was our first visit to the truck this season. The weather has been bad up until now, and the truck has only been back in business for a few days.

We still have a bedtime story when she's here and sometimes if I happen to be there. On this night, we read one of James Herriot's stories — about Blossom the old cow who decided that she wasn't ready to go to the knackers.

On Sunday, before taking her back home, we stopped at Tim Hortons for a snack. She decided that this was a good time to play with my hat.

What fun!

Adorable grand there. And good choice of author. I wish TV still feature series like All Creatures. Then I might not be embarrassed to think what my grandchildren might have turned on....:(

I love how in some photos she is such a pretty young lady and in others she is a pretty tomboy just making fun of something! Great shots.

Great pictures and looks like a great time. I am looking forward to a time when my granddaughter wants to spend time with me. That will a highlight to my life. Enjoy these times with the grands, for they grow up entirely too fast. My oldest turned 21 last weekend. He spent some quality time with me right before his birthday. He's so grown up and intelligent. I had a hard time following his intellect!

Somebody LOVES her Granddaddy...and I can tell that her Granddaddy loves her. I love the expressions in each photo.
As a Nana, I long for time spent with my sweet ones, and I smile as I see that you enjoy time spent with yours. It's universal. We love 'em beyond words.
Continue to enjoy.
I hope that your Easter is a blessed one.
Smiles to you and your family,
Jackie
