Concentration

Frequently, after school, the kids will sit around the table after snacking and do crafy/arty/writing things. JJ was so cute the other day, concentrating so fiercely on his project.

When family members observe his facial expressions and particularly his tongue-work, they snicker, nudge each other, and look at me knowingly because they say this is just like me. Of course, I resent resemble this remark.

When all is done, one can be very pleased with oneself.

A while ago, when I posted his hockey pics, I forgot to include this one, which has nothing to do with the rest of the post.

Man A C, don't you wish you had that power of concentration with cameras clicking, etc.
Handsome lad! You are lucky to have the privilege of having your "grands" close at hand. My 3 little ones live 3 city blocks from me, but Mamma Bear keeps them at arm's reach for some reason beyond my comprehension. Pappa Bear doesn't intervene. Maybe he has learned!! Oh well, I make the best of a tedious situation when I can. It is what it is! Some times life itself just SUCKS!

Love these!!
My Garrett (5-year-old Grandson) does the same thing. He gets that tongue to working the instant he begins to "concentrate"...and I love to see it.
Makes my heart happy!!!!
Great shots. Love the love you have for him.
Hugs,
J.

Jimmie

You are the second grandfather blogger I know who has this problem, and I find it mighty strange.

You should have taken a snap of yourself while doing a project...we needed a photo for comparison...!

Love this sweet series of photos. Serious young man, indeed. If he keeps that zeal for work, he should do well in school.

I'm already a huge fan of JJ's, but that hockey picture could send a girl over the edge. Way, way too handsome!!

You do know, John, that your young grandson is developing quite a fan base in the blog community thanks to posts like this one.

The one with his lips semi pursed is just perfect.
As are the eyes in the hockey shot.
