Autumn Colour

It's Thanksgiving weekend in Canada, which in these environs generally coincides with autumn colour. We are being kept pretty close to home this weekend, but we got out for an extremely pleasant rural ramble and discovered, much to our surprise and delight, that the colours were spectacular. We were surprised because everyone had been expecting poor colour this autumn due to our droughtish summer. As it turns out, it seems to be one of the better autumn showings. Go figure.

Here are six photos from our ramble, presented in chronological order. Yes, the colour was that good.

It is wonderful to see this autumn color--we are waiting here in central Pennsylvania.
We have almost no fall colors yet.

I hope Sue's hand is improving! And as for the colour - wow! I see you were on County 8 for part of the photo shoot, too.

Wow! Beautiful set of pictures, AC. Wishing you were here with us at the farm but happy you were able to get out and enjoy nature.

Love to you and Sauntie.

I lived the largest portion of my life thus far in Western New York. I saw beautiful tree colors in October, but nothing as gorgeous as this.

How really gifted your are with your camera. These pictures would make beautiful cards. You should contact Hallmark!

I love those photos. Makes me want to go out and find similar spots. Unfortunately that would involve a long drive and since I only have a bike... Good thing you're posting them though, so I can still enjoy the beautiful colours of autumn. I especially like the first one!
