Our River

I'm still on the kick of finding pictures from past Junes, preferrably ones that I haven't shown before. This one is from June 2006, the summer after we moved here. The year previously, when we were thinking or purchasing our present place, we took a little walk around the neighbourhood and soon came to a little park and this view of our Mississippi River (not the mighty one in the USA).

I'm pretty sure that we would have ended up where we are regardless, but finding this view on this walk about five minutes from our place was a nice bonus, even if I did take this picture a year later.

It's early morning here and looking at this view while sipping coffee was relaxing and cooling too, but then I did hear that the heat wave will be breaking soon - YEAH!

That's a gorgeous picture of the Mightiless Mississippi, and just the right size too. this morning, I had to go back and give up on aligning photos and comments. I could have changed the sizes on those monster photos but I know how it amuses you and Lyndon, so it's staying.

That is a most gorgeous and bucolic picture. A Mississippi by any other name ... and don't you love finding great photos you'd forgotten about? I do.

It is so nice to live by water. Five min. away isn't far at all!
The painted shovel AC, was my mom's. I don't know who painted it but they are a common item sold at craft fairs in our area. Love Di ♥
